I wouldn't normally jump the gun like this, but I'm too excited to sit on this wallpaper for another six weeks. So here it is: my homage to Cold War, due for broadcast 13 April 2013 and featuring the long-awaited return of The Ice Warriors.

Addendum: yes, this is why I shouldn't jump the gun. I now know the episode's going to be set in the 1980s and consequently, the boat's the wrong shape for the era. Ah, well. I'm going to leave this up anyway because it was hard work and I'm still pleased with it despite the accuracy deficiency.

I really am looking forward to this new episode with high spirits. The fact that they've not been drastically overhauled in appearance is an encouraging sign, and the plot sounds promising. Not long to go now!

Only a few weeks to go. I'm looking forward to that and the Cybermen episode by Neil Gaiman. This is going to be a great year for Doctor Who. First these episodes then there's BBC America airing classic Doctor Who each month.

yup...... I was trying to hold back the excitement so that I wouldn't burn up the earth with passion and impatience.... but it's too late..... Now IM burning myself up, so I have to let it burn the earth.... so if we experience excessive melting of the ice caps.... I apologize to the Ice Warriors... they may be getting a script change soon.....
